My Story
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME; I WAS BORN IN SEA CLIFF, NY, WHICH IS A SMALL TOWN IN LONG ISLAND. I GREW UP THERE, AND WAS ALWAYS A FAN OF PIZZA. WHETHER IT WAS TGIF NIGHTS WITH A PIE FROM THE LOCAL SPOT, OR GETTING A HOT SLICE AFTER THE DENTIST WITH MY DEAR MOTHER, WHOM’S NICKNAME IS THE NAMESAKE OF THIS PROJECT, I’VE ALWAYS LOVED A GOOD CRISPY SLICE. JOSIE’S PIZZA IS AN AUTHENTIC NY STYLE PIE MADE WITH A 3 DAY FERMENTED DOUGH, CRUSHED TOMATOES, AND BOARSHEAD MOZZARELLA, ALONG WITH SOME EXTRAS LIKE PARMESAN AND PECORINO ROMANO CHEESES, ALONG WITH SOME OREGANO, I BREW UP A CRISPY SLICE FOR YOU TO ENJOY AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE.
HAVING TRIED OVER 100 PIZZERIAS ON THE EAST COAST, FROM THE CLASSIC JOE’S ON CARMINE, TO LUIGI’S IN BROOKLYN, FRANK PEPE’S AND SALLY’S IN NEW HAVEN, ALONG WITH A HANDFUL OF OTHER DIVINE INSTITUTIONS THAT PROMOTE THE GRAND WISDOM OF PIZZA, I AM WITHOUT QUESTION A PIZZA SNOB. ONE BITE FRANKIE, EVERYONE KNOWS I’M RUDE.
THIS PROJECT IS DEDICATED TO MY MOTHER, JOANN PATRICIA BRESLIN, WHO I CALLED JOSIE AS A KID. I LOST MY MOTHER TO COVID IN DECEMBER OF 2020, RIGHT AFTER THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY. I DROVE HER TO THE HOSPITAL AND WAS THE LAST PERSON TO SEE HER ALIVE. I LOVED AND WILL ALWAYS LOVE MY MOTHER FOR ETERNITY; SHE TAUGHT ME GENUINE LOVE, AFFECTION, BEING SELFLESS AND BEING HUMBLE. I AM HOPING THAT THIS PROJECT SUCCEEDS TO HONOR HER LEGACY.
